The chemical synthesis platform allows the synthesis of iron oxides, such as geothite, hematite, ferrihydrite and so on. The relevant instruments include: the pH meter, Conductivity meter, Centrifuge, Drying cabinet, and Ultrasonic cleaner.


High temperature oxidation-reduction system is used for oxidizing or reducing natural/synthesized iron oxides. It is composed of three parts: gas circuit, gas pressure regulator, and computerized split Tube Vacuum Furnace.


Computerized Split Tube Vacuum Furnace is installed with 80mm O.D quartz tube with a pair of smart stainless steel vacuum sealing flange and vacuum gauge & value ,which allows to heat sample in vacuum or flowing gas. Precision temperature controller can provide 30 segments heating and cooling steps with +/-1 degree celsius accuracy, which can be operated remote computer or mannual. The temperature ranges from room temperature to 1200 degree Celsius. In addition, the Max. heating rate is below 20 degree Celsius per minute.
