报告人简介：
Dr. Yuxin Wu is a geological research scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where his research is focused on the application of geophysical and hydrological methods in energy and environment related topics. He received his Bachelor’s degree in petrology, mineralogy and geochemistry, Master’s degree in Environmental sciences from Peking University, and PhD in Geophysics from Rutgers University (New Jersey, U.S). Dr Wu’s current research topics include (1) Biogeochemical processes related to reservoir souring and control; (2) Ecohydrological dynamics in mountainous watershed; (3) Hydraulic fracturing, flow and induced seismicity related to energy production and waste storage; and (4) permafrost dynamics in the Arctic region, among others. Dr. Wu has published over 30 peer reviewed articles and book chapters including topics in hdyro- and bio- geophysics, soil and groundwater remediation, CO2 sequestration, terrestrial carbon cycle, and cryosphere research.
