报告题目：Environmental change in a neritic setting before, during, and after the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum: Insights from magnetofossils and microfossil assemblages
报告人一简介：Courtney L. Wagner, PhD Student, University of Utah. For her undergraduate degree she attended the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, USA where she received a BS in Geobiology. While at Rochester she was a member of the Rochester Paleomagnetic Group where she worked with Dr. John Tarduno on the South Atlantic Anomaly Project and modern magnetotactic bacteria from a local water body called "Devil's Bathtub." After receiving her undergraduate degree in 2015 she immediately began her PhD at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, USA working with Dr. Pete Lippert. At Utah her studies focus on environmental change, geobiology, and magnetotactic bacteria. This summer she is on a fellowship which is a joint program between the US National Science Foundation and the China Science and Technology Exchange Center. She hope to hone her skills in working with modern magnetotactic bacteria under the supervision of two leading researchers in the area, Dr. Pan and Dr. Lin.
